This brand new and calm holiday home is located on the banks of the River Scheldt with a terrace, garden, and private parking. This place can hold 4 people and can welcome an additional 2 guests for a short stay (sofa bed in the living room). We call here "le petit paradis" (a small piece of paradise).
Our cottage is located in the countryside, along the Scheldt, near Tournai in a friendly little village of 100 people. Here is a small paradise for walks or cycling because we are located along the RAVeL waymarked path network and along the River Scheldt. It is also a paradise for fishermen with several ponds formed by the old meanders of the Scheldt. We are located in a Natura 2000 protected area. The environment is very green. We are surrounded by nature with very beautiful landscapes and lots of pastoral corners around the holiday home.
We wanted to create a comfortable, welcoming, and very neat residence. We have taken care of its decoration and its equipment. All interior fittings, furniture and equipment are new. A very bright living room overlooks the garden with a view of Mont-Saint-Aubert and the River Scheldt. The living room is equipped with a new fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The bathroom is also on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are 2 very cosy bedrooms with good bedding and a night toilet on the landing. The cottage is equipped with reversible convectors which provide air conditioning and heating on demand: 1 convection heater in the living room on the ground floor and a convection heater in each bedroom. The cottage is equipped with Wi-Fi.
The garden and the parking are private. On the terrace, there is a table with chairs as well as 2 sunbeds, a parasol, and a barbecue. Tournai is 5 km away or 15 min by bike. It is a very beautiful old town with a cathedral, many museums, and a very beautiful Grand Place with pleasant terraces. But all of Picardy Wallonia in which we are located offers plenty of things to do and see. We have brochures at the residence to help you organise your activities from the cottage. In the garden, a pretty chalet is there to safely store your bikes. Are you ready for an unforgettable stay in paradise? You are more than welcome.

Muriel and Pascal took so much care to create this cottage on part of their property with completely independent access and parking, to provide full independence to guests. The fenced garden surrounding the cottage and the terrace will also allow you to enjoy sunny days. As for the appliance and the interior, everything has been done to provide maximum comfort and warmth… Everything is new.
Muriel is passionate about nature, gardening, and cooking. Muriel and her husband Pascal are also fans of hikes and cycling.
