Only 10 minutes from Bastogne, this cottage is located in the 2 Ourthes Natural Park. Here, you have the opportunity to recharge your batteries in this wonderful setting of the Belgian Ardennes: hiking or cycling circuits, discovery of the history and treasures of the region.
This former school in the village of Longchamps still resounds with many happy stories from several generations of children. My mother, Léona was educated there almost a century ago.
The house has been completely restored and fitted out to offer today a comfortable holiday home for 4 people (+ a cot).
If you want to stay for a few days, to breathe, to enjoy all the simple pleasures of life, this is the place for you.
As soon as you leave the front door, in the heart of this typically Ardennes village, you will be on signposted routes for walks or bicycle rides. Whatever the season, you will be seduced and bewitched by the sweetness of the scents of nature, the landscapes of the valleys, meadows or woods of the surroundings or by the soothing sound of the rivers that you will discover during your walks.
The region is full of possibilities for outdoor activities: cultural, sporting, historical (ex. The Battle of Ardennes site), folkloric, gastronomic, heritage, or even nautical at the Nisramont dam,...
You can sit down and take full advantage of a shaded terrace and a garden with trees, particularly dedicated to escaping, reading or relaxing.
You can then enjoy a fully equipped kitchen to eat on site. But, if you want, you can also take a walk in Bastogne, Houffalize, La Roche,...to find, among the many restaurants, which one will delight you.
The holiday home is completely autonomous, and is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the house of the owner (the owner does not stay at the residence when there are guests). It is therefore not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

All my life I have met thousands of people in Wallonia but also in Brussels, Flanders and all over the world. I have discovered very different people, all with magnificent multicultural riches. Over the years, I built a lasting network of friendships and carried out various projects with them towards a more sustainable planet.
Now that I am retired in Bertogne, among the vacation spots of my childhood and my youth, I wish to continue this path with the lodging "L’école De Ma Mère" (my mother’s school) by finding its roots and mine. You are welcome to come here for a moment of serenity, of well-being, in this calm place, in the middle of Longchamps, a village full of greenery and surrounded with magnificent landscapes.
