When we imagined our cottage, we wanted a name that reflects our environment, the nature that surrounds us, but also the materials we had chosen: wood, metal, and local stone.
With the main bedroom suspended in a mezzanine, the loft spirit naturally emerged in the name …
It remained to find its second wind, one that would evoke the forest, the fauna, and the peaceful atmosphere of Wépion: that’s when the fox inspired us.
Indeed, the very name of Wépion would come from the Latin Vulpilio, meaning ‘fox land’. This is how the name of our cottage became obvious: The Fox Loft
