What accommodation types do you have available ?
Our site only offers accommodation officially authorized by the Commissariat Général au Tourisme.
Here are the different official names on our site:
- Rural holiday home : characterful tourist accommodation in the countryside.
- Town house : tourist accommodation located in the city.
- Farm cottage : tourist accommodation located on or near a working farm.
- Holiday-furnished lodging : independent, self-contained tourist accommodation in the countryside or in town.
- Bed and Breakfast : a room in the owner’s property, which can be located in the countryside or in a town. The property may have from 1 to 5 guest rooms.
- Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast : rooms on the owner’s property. The dwelling is located on or near a working farm and can have from 1 to 5 guest rooms.
What is a grouped cottages ?
A grouped cottages is a group of at least 2 separate holiday homes that can be rented at the same time.
What does the classification in ears or keys correspond with ?
Our accommodations are officially classified according to their level of equipment and comfort :
- 1 ear or key : simple comfort
- 2 ears or keys : good comfort
- 3 ears or keys : very good comfort
- 4 ears or keys : excellent comfort
- 5 ears or keys : exceptional comfort
What does “starting from” prices correspond with ?
This amount is given as an indication and includes the cheapest rate offered for the accommodation consulted.
How can I find out the price of my future stay in advance ?
The rates shown on our website are given as an indication and are not contractual. To find out the exact price of your stay, please contact the owner directly by message or telephone.
For accommodations offering instant booking, the price is automatically calculated. So you know the exact price of your stay and can pay directly online.
What does “deposit” mean in the additional costs on the accommodation detail page ?
The guarantee is a sum of money paid to the owner to cover any damage caused to his accommodation during your stay. It must be paid at the latest on the day of your arrival and is reimbursed on the day of your departure or at the latest within 10 working days of your departure date. This amount is set by the owner.
Under additional fees, what does “tourist tax” mean ?
The taxe de séjour is a tax set by the commune and/or province where the accommodation is located. The amount varies from one commune/province to another. It can be set per night or per night and per person, and is payable to the owner at the time of your stay.
What does the term “charges” mean ?
Charges include water, electricity and heating. They are either included in the overall price, fixed (price per night), or calculated according to consumption during your stay.
How to book accommodation ?
Our website allows you to book directly with the owner. You pay no booking fees. The Federation team does not manage bookings.
There are several ways to make a reservation :
Phone: you can book your stay by telephone by contacting the owner directly. Click on the Phone button
Instant booking: some accommodations offer the Instant booking option and are identified as such. For these accommodations, you book and pay for your stay directly via our website. To book, enter your dates of stay and click on the red Book button. Once your booking has been paid for, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail.
Booking request: for accommodations that do not have instant booking, you can send the owner a booking request. Sending a reservation request is not a reservation. To send your booking request, enter your dates of stay and click on the Send a message button . Fill in the form and click on the Send button . The owner will receive your request by e-mail and will reply as soon as possible. The owner will then send you booking details.

How do I contact the owner of an accommodation before booking ?
Would you like to ask the owner any questions before booking? Contact the owner by message using the Send a message button, or by phone using the Phone button.
I have received “Gîtes et Chambres d’hôtes de Wallonie” holiday vouchers. How can I use them ?
You can use your “Gîtes et Chambres d’hôtes de Wallonie” holiday vouchers at any of the accommodations on our website.
All you have to do is contact the owner of the accommodation you have chosen by telephone and/or e-mail (even those accommodations with instant booking) and tell him/her that you have holiday vouchers. It is currently impossible to use our vouchers to pay for your stay online.

To create a holidaymaker account on our site, please follow the steps below :
- Click on the little man in the top right-hand corner;
- Click on Login;
- Select Holidaymaker mode ;
- There are two ways to create your account:
- Encode your email address and password
- Log in with your Facebook or Google account: our site will receive your name, profile photo and e-mail address, enabling you to create your account instantly.
I create my account: enter your surname, first name and e-mail address, then click on the Register button. You will receive an e-mail inviting you to create your password to finalize the creation of your account.
