Established in 1919 by Auguste Decelle and his wife Catherine Michaëly, the hotel-restaurant “Le Martin Pêcheur” is now transformed into a large capacity cottage that can accommodate twenty-two people. Ten comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, a semi-professional kitchen, a spacious fully glazed living room, and a large garden with century-old trees bordered by the Sûre river are the assets of the house. From the cottage, you can explore the Upper Sûre Forest of Anlier Natural Park, whether on foot or by bike. Directly in front of the house, the pre-Ravel line 618 allows you to reach Bastogne or Martelange and the Grand Duchy cycling network; international cycling routes (EuroVelo 5 and W9 La Véloroute grandeur Nature) also pass through this pre-Ravel. Easily accessible via National Road 4, Le Martin Pêcheur is about an hour from Liège and Luxembourg. Antwerp, Brussels, Mons, Metz, and Reims are two hours away by car.

The Kingfisher Garden, created by my great-grandfather and grandfather, is the place I love the most in the world. The house, with its living room, glass and steel architecture is an inspiration from Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This place is pleasant to live in whatever the weather. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do..
