Data confidentiality is of great importance to the Fédération des Gîtes et Chambres d’hôtes de Wallonie a.s.b.l. and we are committed to an open and transparent attitude when handling your personal data.
ARTICLE 1 – GENERAL PRINCIPLES
1.1 The non-profit association Fédération des Gîtes et Chambres d’hôtes de Wallonie, whose registered office is at Avenue Prince de Liège, 1/21, 5100 Namur, registered with the ECB under number BE0442234777, hereinafter referred to as FGDW, operates the websites gitesdewallonie.be, marmitonetpolochon.be, assisesdutourisme.be, ungitepourtous.be (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”).
1.2 The Fédération des Gîtes et Chambres d’hôtes de Wallonie is responsible for processing the personal data (hereinafter the “Data”) that we collect during your visit to and use of the Site.

1.3 All personal data that we collect will be processed in accordance with the Belgian and European regulations applicable to the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC and the Act of 13 June 2005 known as the “Electronic Communications Act” as amended by the Act of 10 July 2012.
1.4 You are invited to carefully review this Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) and to familiarize yourself with its contents.
ARTICLE 2: SCOPE OF APPLICATION
2.1 The Charter describes the measures taken for the use and management of your Data when using the Site and your rights as a user of the Site.
2.2 The Charter applies to all services offered by FGDW via the Site.

3.1 When you visit our Site, we may collect information (including Data) in several ways:
3.1.1 Data supplied by users.
We collect the Data that you communicate on the Site for the purpose of enabling FGDW and its Partners to communicate information to you about affiliated accommodations, about Wallonia as a destination, and about news from our association and our Partners. This communication takes the form of general or targeted newsletters or general or targeted e-mails.
3.1.2 Information collected through technological tools. When you browse our Site, our computer systems may collect passive data such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address or browser type. We also use Cookies to collect information about the date and time of your visit or the areas of the Site you have visited.
3.2 By visiting our Site or communicating your Data, you consent to and authorize the collection and processing of your Data as described in the Charter. If you do not consent to or cannot authorize the collection or processing of your Data as described in this Charter, do not use the Site.

ARTICLE 4: PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
The Data we process are used for the following purposes:
4.1 Provisions common to all Site users
4.1.1 To improve the services we offer by learning about your interests in the functionality, performance and support of our services.
4.1.2 To carry out internal studies aimed at improving our services.
These provisions common to all users of the Site are possible on the basis of the legitimate interest of FGDW to improve its services for the Users of the Site.
4.2 General public
1° Newsletters
To inform you about our association and its latest news, about possible stays in accommodations affiliated to our network, about ideas for stays based on destinations, activities or events, about commercial offers, discounts or promotions in accommodations affiliated to our network.
The sending of newsletters is only possible with the explicit consent of the user.
The User may withdraw his consent at any time via the procedures described in article 6 of the present Charter.
2° Rental proposal
To answer requests for information and reservations
The rental proposal is made possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in responding to the User’s requests.
4.3 Tourism professionals
4.3.1. Pour tous les professionnels du tourisme
1° Statistics
To collect statistics, to conduct satisfaction surveys, to measure the experience of tourism professionals.
The processing of data relating to statistics is possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in improving the services offered to tourism professionals.
4.3.2. Membres
1° Data update
To update members’ contact details and information, as well as their accommodation details: description, availability, rates…
The updating of data is possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in presenting up-to-date information on the rental offer.
2° Newsletters
To keep members up to date on news from our association and/or our Partners, on news from the local tourist accommodation sector and the tourism sector in general, on events organized by our association and/or its Partners, on specific actions.
The sending of newsletters is possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in communicating with its members about its news and/or that of its Partners.
3° Events
To manage registrations for actions, training courses, meetings organized by our association, to communicate with registrants about the event before, during and after the event, to send documents or presentations related to the event.
The processing of event-related data is possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in ensuring the proper follow-up of organized events.
4.3.3. Prospects
1° Information sessions
To manage registrations for information sessions organized by our association for potential future owners of local tourist accommodations, and to communicate with registrants before, during and after the information session.
The processing of data relating to information sessions is possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in ensuring the proper follow-up of the information sessions organized.
2° Follow-up
To follow up the affiliation file of potential future owners of local tourist accommodations, to communicate by telephone and e-mail with potential future owners of local tourist accommodations about the services provided by our association.
File tracking is only possible with the user’s explicit consent.
The User may withdraw his consent at any time via the procedures described in article 6 of the present Charter.
3° Newsletters
To inform potential future owners of “terroir” tourist accommodations about news from our association and/or our Partners, news from the “terroir” tourist accommodation sector and the tourism sector in general, events organized by our association and/or its Partners, and specific actions.
The sending of newsletters is only possible with the explicit consent of the user.
The User may withdraw his consent at any time via the procedures described in article 6 of the present Charter.
4.3.4. Autres professionnels du tourisme
1° Newsletters
To inform tourism professionals about news from our association and/or our Partners, about news from the local tourist accommodation sector and the tourism sector in general, about events organized by our association and/or its Partners, about specific actions.
The sending of newsletters is only possible with the explicit consent of the user.
The User may withdraw his consent at any time via the procedures described in article 6 of the present Charter.
2° Events
To manage registrations for actions, training courses, meetings organized by our association, to communicate with registrants about the event before, during and after the event, to send documents or presentations related to the event.
The processing of event-related data is possible on the basis of FGDW’s legitimate interest in ensuring the proper follow-up of organized events.
ARTICLE 5: COMMUNICATION TO THIRD PARTIES
5.1 We regard Data as confidential information. We will only disclose it to third parties under the conditions specified in this Charter.
5.2. Nous pouvons être amenés à divulguer vos Données à nos Partenaires et Sous-traitants aux fins d’accomplir unique les finalités précisées à l’article 4. En tout état de cause, nous prenons toutes les mesures raisonnables pour assurer que lesdites sociétés respectent cette Charte. Notre politique consiste à interdire à ces sociétés d’utiliser vos Données à toute autre fin que celle de fournir les produits et/ou services expressément demandés par FGDW.
5.3 We may disclose your Data if necessary to (a) comply with applicable laws or comply with a court order or injunction; or (b) protect and defend our rights or those of the users of the Site.
5.4 We may “anonymize” Data by removing personally identifiable elements such as name and e-mail address, and aggregate the data for use in market research or other business purposes. We may then disclose this anonymized information to third parties.
ARTICLE 6: RIGHT OF OBJECTION
6.1 You have the right to object to the processing of your Data and its use for prospecting purposes, in particular for commercial purposes. 6.2 To unsubscribe from our newsletters, you may exercise your right to object by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each of our newsletters. Unsubscription requests are only effective if a message confirms this. If this is not the case, you may exercise your right to object as described in article 6.1 of this Charter.
ARTICLE 7: RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, DELETION AND LIMITATION OF PROCESSING
7.1 You have the right to access, rectify, delete and limit the processing of Data concerning you, in accordance with Articles 15, 16, 17 and 18 of the RGPD.

ARTICLE 8: RIGHT OF PORTABILITY
You also have the right to receive the Data that concerns you and that you have provided to FGDW in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and the right to transmit them to another controller when the processing of such Data is carried out using automated processes.
ARTICLE 9: COOKIES
9.1 Cookies are data sent to your terminal from your browser when you visit the Site and which include a unique identification number. Cookies simplify access to and navigation of the Site and increase the speed and efficiency of its use. They may also be used to customize the Site according to your personal preferences. Cookies are also used to analyze the use of the Site.

ARTICLE 10: SECURITY
To ensure the protection of the Data collected, we have implemented a program to secure the information stored in these systems. Our computer systems also feature data encryption and software protection.
ARTICLE 11: DATA RETENTION
11.1 FGDW may retain your Data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used (see Article 4).

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged breach if you consider that the processing of your Data infringes the RGPD.
