En 1944, Marloie a \u00e9t\u00e9 en grande partie d\u00e9truit par l'explosion d'un convoi de TNT allemand. De nombreux b\u00e2timents ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruits mais l'Ancienne Poste est rest\u00e9e debout. Cette magnifique maison en pierres du Pays, nous a fait de l'oeil avec sa fa\u00e7ade \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on manoir \u00e9cossais. Cette tendresse toute particuli\u00e8re pour l'Ecosse et le sentiment de force que nous procurait cette fa\u00e7ade, nous a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 pousser la porte. D\u00e8s l'entr\u00e9e, on se sent chez soi. Les anciens carrelages et les tons sobres des murs apportent une certaine s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9. La d\u00e9coration nature est soutenue par quelques petites r\u00e9alisations personnelles de la propri\u00e9taire et surtout de l'exposition permanente de photos de paysages correspondants aux th\u00e8mes des chambres.<\/p>","lodging_description_nl":"

In 1944 werd Marloie grotendeels verwoest door de ontploffing van een Duits TNT-konvooi. Veel gebouwen zijn herbouwd, maar het oude postkantoor is blijven staan. Dit prachtige huis in lokale stenen, viel ons op met zijn Schotse herenhuisgevel. Onze voorliefde voor Schotland en het gevoel van kracht dat deze gevel ons gaf, brachten ons ertoe de deur te openen. Zodra je binnenstapt, voel je je thuis. De oude tegels en de sobere tinten van de muren zorgen voor een zekere rust. De natuurlijke decoratie wordt ondersteund door enkele kleine persoonlijke creaties van de eigenaar en vooral door de permanente tentoonstelling van foto's van landschappen die overeenkomen met de thema's van de kamers.<\/p>","lodging_description_en":"

In 1944, Marloie was mainly destroyed by a convoy of German TNT. Many buildings were rebuilt over time but the old Post Office stayed put. This great house built from local stone always had our attention with its Scottish Manor style of stone work. This particular love of Scotland also played its part in us moving past the door. As soon as you open that door, you will really feel at home. You feel a sense of calm with traditional tiling and calming colours. We did some finishing touches especially the addition of a permanent photo exposition of the local landscape.
