This holiday home is ideally located at the foot of the woods with a view of the meadows and the forest. This charming long farmhouse is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The building is on 30 acres of wooded land.
"La Demoiselle" is a stream that runs through the wood in the meadow behind the house. Our house, with its beautiful coloured stonework, took its name from "La Demoiselle" and, as it stands on the edge of the wood, was named "La demoiselle ô bois".
We have renovated this old farmhouse to make it a friendly place to live, a place where you can relax, have fun and enjoy yourself, with family or friends, in a green setting that invites you to switch off.
Four personalised bedrooms (two of which have their own showers) and two living rooms (one of which is dedicated to relaxation and leisure) provide a friendly environment where travellers can make the most of their stay. We have a pool table, a dart board, various board games, a library corner and two smart TVs (one in each living room).
A bar area between the kitchen and living room invites you to gather around the simple pleasures of the table. The spacious outside area, with its terrace, sun loungers and petanque area, is just as satisfying.
The house is located in the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse National Park, on the edge of the Bois de Seloignes, on the heights of the village, at the end of a cul de sac. This idyllic setting is ideal for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers.

The owners
Sandrine MARTINET & Hugues BAVAY
They love this Chimay region, Sandrine by her origins, and Hugues by discovering the region many years ago. They embarked on the crazy project of renovating an old stone building. After several quests, they were lucky to find what they were looking for, which was a local stone farmhouse of over 200 years old. It is located in an idyllic location surrounded by nature, on the heights of the village of Seloignes and at the foot of the forest. They carried out the majority of the work themselves, imagining it throughout this "journey" as a place to warmly get together. They wanted to keep the charm of the old by bringing comfort, modernity, and giving each room its character while creating warm spaces to make life that little bit better. They designed the holiday home by bringing their expectations as a vacation spot to the scene. They hope that you will find what you are looking for here.
