This holiday home is ideally located at the foot of the woods with a view of the meadows and the forest. This charming long farmhouse is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The building is on 30 acres of wooded land.
“La Demoiselle” is a stream which is located in the meadow at the back of the house and which flows through the woods. Our house with beautiful coloured stones is located on the edge of the woods, and is also known as “La demoiselle ô bois”.
We renovated this old farmhouse, imagining it as a friendly place where life is good; a place where you can relax, have fun, enjoy, with family or friends, in a green setting inviting you to disconnect.
Four personalised rooms (including 2 with its own showers) and 2 living rooms (including one dedicated to relaxation and leisure) offer a friendly living space where travellers can make the most of their stay. We have a billiards table, a darts board, various board games, a library area, and 2 smart TVs (1 in each living room).
A bar area between the kitchen and the living room invites you to gather around the simple pleasures of the table. The spacious exterior will offer just as much satisfaction to travellers, with its terrace, deck chairs and pétanque court.
The house is located in the ESEM natural park, on the edge of the Seloignes woods, on the heights of the village, at the end of a cul de sac. Calm reigns in this idyllic place which will delight hikers, cyclists and nature lovers.
The region is also full of tourist activities which you can consult in our guide or through the local tourist offices.

The owners
Sandrine MARTINET & Hugues BAVAY
They love this Chimay region, Sandrine by her origins, and Hugues by discovering the region many years ago. They embarked on the crazy project of renovating an old stone building. After several quests, they were lucky to find what they were looking for, which was a local stone farmhouse of over 200 years old. It is located in an idyllic location surrounded by nature, on the heights of the village of Seloignes and at the foot of the forest. They carried out the majority of the work themselves, imagining it throughout this "journey" as a place to warmly get together. They wanted to keep the charm of the old by bringing comfort, modernity, and giving each room its character while creating warm spaces to make life that little bit better. They designed the holiday home by bringing their expectations as a vacation spot to the scene. They hope that you will find what you are looking for here.
