Le plumard du Cheval Bayard (Bayard Horse’s sack)…. What a funny name for a holiday home!
This 3 épis rural lodging has an atmosphere that varies depending on where you are.

The bathroom by the sea in summer, the bedroom in the mountains in winter, the living room in the forest in autumn and the kitchen-dining are in the countryside in spring.
With a surface area of 45 m2, well equipped, practical and cosy, our holiday home will suit you for any type of stay and can accommodate 2 to 3 people.
Situation:
The cottage is located in Eghezée in the village of Dhuy, 3 minutes from the No. 12 motorway exit on the E411 Namur-Brussels axis. You can also reach major cities such as Namur (15 min), Louvain-la -Neuve (20 min), Wavre (20 min), Charleroi (35 min), Brussels (45 min), Liège (45 min), Luxembourg (1h45min).
Close to event venues:
You are only a horse jump from Château Bayard in Dhuy, and a small trot from Clos Saint Michel in Upigny in the town of Eghezée. In the nearby town of La Bruyère, there is also the Ferme de Mehaignoul. These high event venues welcome your receptions, banquets and other seminars.
There are also some very good restaurants:
Bathed in the countryside and located behind the park of Château Bayard, our residence is also close to some good starred gourmet restaurants, such as L'air du Temps ** in Liernu (5 min by car), L'essentiel * in Temploux (20 min by car), « Le Chai Gourmand *» in Beuzet (13 minutes).
The garden:
In the past, there was just a vast orchard and a cow pasture adjoining the house.
In 1998, a pond was dug to welcome intense aquatic life with dragonflies, salamanders, koi and other fish as well as many frogs.
We also produce from our own vegetable patch and make apple juice with the harvest from our orchard.
Part of the land also accommodates a few additional residents including horses, goats, a rabbit, and 2 beehives.
These parts of the garden remain private, however it is always possible to visit them with us.

The owner
Joëlle MAHY
We are Joëlle and Didier, and we are both from the region. When we acquired our house, there was a lot of work…. Almost 30 years later, we do not have the slightest trace of regret.
Our children have become responsible adults, they have grown up in this house, they have seen it evolve and now they come back willingly, to share a meal or a family table or for “nothing”. The grass is not always greener on the other side.
Both of us are lovers of architecture. Joëlle trained as a landscape architect and Didier was a civil engineer.
