Holiday home - Herbeumont - L'Ecole Buissonnière
View
Charming holiday home between Bouillon, Florenville and Neufchâteau, at the heart of the Ardennes. Large, enclosed garden. Lovely walks. Nature activities. This holiday home is labelled as “Bébé tendresse” meaning that everything is needed here for your baby’s comfort.
This holiday home was built in the 20th century from local stone and is full of historical references. This house was located close to the front of the battleground of Neufchâteau in August 1914. The building started out as a local shop, then a family home before transforming into the Saint-Médard schoolmaster's house of Monsieur José Collard. We therefore decided to rebaptise the holiday home under the name “L’Ecole Buissonière”(skipping school) in honour of the nearby school and the schoolmaster but also of the sense of freedom that this place brings.
The house was completely eco-renovated by maximising the use of natural and ecological materials (wood wool, clay, corkwood, cellulose) to ensure that your place of stay is as safe and comfortable as possible. Our residence also has a rainwater collector tanks for the toilets, washing machines and irrigation of the surrounding grounds.
Located near the Semois river and the Herbeumont Castle. L’Ecole Buissonnière is a holiday home that is open for the weekends, weekdays or long term stays in a region where walking and cycling is a part of everyday living. There is everything you need here for you, your family or your group of friends to feel at peace and comfort in an authentic setting. There are also associations who organise classes, workshops or meetings in the area..

The owner
Valérie VANDERSMISSEN
Hello,
Since the beginning of 2020, I am happy to welcome you to this beautiful house of charm and character. The cottage has been renovated with natural and ecological materials to preserve your health and the beauty of our planet. The kitchen is well equipped and has many appliances. The natural garden has treats available for you pleasure according to the seasons all over the place: Raspberries, blackcurrants, plums, pears, and grapes will delight young and old. The view of the surrounding countryside is perfect for relaxation. In the wintertime around a wood fire or in the summer around a barbecue, conviviality is the word I think of most when I would spend pleasant moments with family or friends. I am already looking forward to showing you all this!
See you soon!
