The owners
Thierry DE LANNOIS & Dominique NOTTE
We are Dominique and Thierry de Lannois-Notté, 60 years old with three children (Olivier, Nathalie and Véronique). Since 1984, we have lived in the village of Ucimont in the town of Bouillon. Each of us have our own specialty: Dominique has green fingers and takes care of the vegetable patch and the garden; she also has an artistic side through watercolor paintings and interior design. Thierry acquired knowledge in the field of nature. He became a broker of experience in the discovery of nature. Do not hesitate to ask him to find out more about the walks to do in the region.
We fell in love with the Ardennes area even more. This is where we met!
When we got the chance to acquire our house, it later became one of the two lodgings, 10 years later, we did not hesitate for a second!
The village of Ucimont seemed welcoming to us from the start. We feel comfortable there. The locals are used to being around tourists.
Even if you have to travel to do your shopping, the isolation away from city turmoil more than makes up for these inconveniences. You are less than a 15 minute drive away from all shops.
The two holiday homes, La Fermette and Le Fournil, were set up in 1994. Since then, we have done everything we needed to do to maintain them in pristine condition and make additional improvements. We have acquired in-depth knowledge of local products and we are happy to provide you with information on producers. The shared garden has a play area for your children and for you to relax. You will find comfort and authenticity, the essential ingredients for a successful stay in the Ardennes.
This is the perfect place to recharge your batteries and forget about your worries.
In the village, there are bells that chime in the day, crowing roosters, cattle and working farmers. Well, it is the countryside.
From the cottage, you can go for a walk without having to take your vehicle. Less than 1 km away, you will love the viewpoint of the "Tombeau du Géant" in Botassart with breathtaking and wild views of the winding River Semois. This area is classified as a major natural heritage site in Wallonia.
Within a radius of 25 kilometers, around 30 signposted hikes are available to you.
